The painter Cathy FIX is very attached to nature and to the exploration of the world which guides her towards animal painting.

Born in 1965, the word Voyage in the FIX family was passed down from birth thanks to her aviator father.

His scuba diving studies and his encounter with Club Méditerranée would subsequently allow him to travel the world again.

Inspired by the animal world and its looks, she goes to meet animals in their natural environment in order to transcribe her emotions on canvas.

She uses acrylic paint on mixed media canvases using brushes, knives, sponges and her hands. The work of feathers and hair is done by hundreds of brush strokes in order to determine the texture of the fur and plumage, fluffy, thick or silky.

Through his gaze, the artist questions the link between animals and humans. He translates various feelings, it is a means of communication and understanding of who we are.

It reveals the most hidden feelings and unveils the beauty, strength, gentleness and power of beings.

“Preserving the environment and saving species should be part of our daily lives.”
